The students have been having an amazing time exploring the two iPads we have in our classroom. It really brings the curriculum to life and allows students to practice math and literacy skills in a very engaging and interactive manner. Here are a few of the apps I recommend to families that have an iPad, iPod touch, or iPhone:
- know your math facts (math triangle game)
- little matchups tell time (adjust the settings to practice telling time to the hour, half-hour, and quarter-hour)
- little matchups count money (adjust the settings to practice counting pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters)
- mathwise (addition facts)
- spelling magic (building words)
- montessori crosswords (building words)
- letter school (set up for handwriting without tears)
